Shanghai
is located at the crossing of the Yangze River and the China's golden
coast. It covers an area of 6,340 Km2 with a population of 13.21
million, making it the biggest city in the country. Shanghai is
the largest commercial, financial and trade center in China and
is gradually built into one of the international economic and financial
cities as well as trade and navigation centers.

cultural and navigation center in China, attracting an investment
of over USD30 billion in some 20,000 projects from 90 countries

listed as FORTUNE's Global 500 has settled down in Shanghai. Moreover,
a number of important international conventions were held there,
for instance, APEC Summit in 2001 and ADB Annual Meeting in 2002,
etc. There are about 300 international flight routes from Shanghai
to 96 countries and regions. Shanghai is demonstrating its fine
image as a metropolitan.
